LE gallery was opened in 2003 at 1183 Dundas St W. in Toronto’s Little Portugal Neighbourhood. The gallery focuses on the promotion and exposure of emerging and mid career artists in critical contemporary practice. By trengthening the careers of emerging artists and participating critically in the Toronto art scene LE has forged a path of professional representation for artists yet to break into the commercial market. LE has garnered a solid reputation for itself and its artists with reviews locally, nationally, and internationally as well as inclusion in exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art (MOCCA), in New York, as well as being voted runner up for Small Gallery of the Year (2004) by Eye Magazine and multiple nominations from the Untitled Art Awards.

The mandate of the gallery allows for the exhibition of work in all mediums and facilitates the introduction of emerging artists to not only to the public but also to collectors and upper tier galleries.
