JAMES KIRKPATRICK

Born out of the collision of street and fine art, new paintings by Thesis/James Kirkpatrick blend the influence of freight painting and the emergence of the Character Based Art scene. Scratching and carving into built up surfaces of paper, encaustic and acrylic paint, Kirkpatrick tranfers his characters from the moving steel of trainyards onto the walls of the gallery while still maintaining and honouring the effect of these diverse surfaces on his practice.
