FROM FEBRUARY 6TH TO MARCH 1ST
OPENING FEBRUARY 6TH, 2009 FROM 7-10PM

LE Cinq brings together work by LE Gallery’s represented artists as well as by artists we will be featuring in our upcoming programming.

Opened in 2003 by Director Wil Kucey, LE Gallery began as a rental gallery for emerging art. Looking to fill a void in the city for emerging venues the gallery originally was meant to be short lived, but the emergence of successful exhibitions, local, national and international attention, the gallery transitioned into a commercial gallery offering contemporary representation. The majority of artists who have exhibited with LE Gallery have been graduates of OCAD and almost exclusively emerging. The gallery has exhibited diverse mediums as well as explored the cross over of contemporary design.

Now in it’s sixth year the gallery forges a path forward into an international profile. Artists have been featured in exhibitions and art fairs internationally, been featured in both major magazines and books here and abroad, and are now included in major private collections as well as national museum collections and the Whitney Museum of American Art.

LE Gallery continues to offer professional contemporary representation and collection management to some of the best emerging artists and clients in the country and looks forward to continuing to work with and offer the most innovative and inspiring work to it’s clients. While much of the credit for our success is due to the incredible ambition and drive of our artists, the gallery would like to applaud the collectors, writers and curators in Toronto, Canada and abroad who have taken part in the careers of exceptional artists by offering their patronage, advice and support to facilitate their development.
